Mislaid

-

your car keys recently? Or your phone? Glasses? False teeth?

You’re not the only ones - these are just some of the hundreds of everyday items left on ScotRail trains and at railway stations, and handed in to the central lost property office at Glasgow Queen Street… and never claimed.

To encourage passengers to claim their lost belongings, ScotRail has released a top ten of items left behind. You might forget your keys or your phone, but things are about to get weird - also on the list are skateboards, bicycles, wheelchairs, items of fancy dress… and kittens!

ScotRail Alliance Communications Director Rob Shorthouse says: “While it’s great when we can reunite lost property with its rightful owner, it’s better for the customer not to lose it in the first place. We’re asking customers to spare a couple of seconds, and look before they leave.”

So next time you’re at Queen Street, and see a cyclist on the phone, towing a wheelchair while carrying a skateboard under one arm and kittens under the other, all while wearing fancy dress, he’s just come from lost property.
