Operator c2c walked off with the Innovation of the Year for its Automatic Delay Repay scheme.
Balfour Beatty, Dyer & Butler Ltd and Colas Rail collected the Safety Initiative of the Year award for their Close Call App.
The Freight and Logistics Achievement of the Year was collected by VTG Rail UK, for its repurposing project that involved converting wagons for new uses and flows.
A new National Rail Award this year was Train of the Year. This went to Siemens for its Eurostar e320 Class 374 trains introduced in 2015.
Network Rail scooped the Sustainable Development Award for its High Output Ballast Cleaning System.
Southeastern won the new Customer Service Excellence award for its Ambassador Pilot scheme, which was dedicated to helping passengers.
Arriva Rail London, Network Rail and Govia Thameslink Railway’s collaborative efforts regarding improving performance on the East London Line, in the Right Time Right Pathway scheme, resulted in them winning the Outstanding Teamwork category.
In the stations category, the Small Station of the Year award went to Chiltern Railways’ Bicester Village, while the Medium Station of the Year was won by ARN’s Harrogate. Large Station of the Year was won by Greater Anglia’s Cambridge, and Major Station of the Year went to Govia Thameslink Railway’s Blackfriars.
