Regional spending evenly balanced

Secretary of State for Transport Chris Grayling says government transport investment is “evenly balanced” between the North and South, with spend of £1,039 per head of population in the North against £1,029 in the South over the next four years.

He was answering a question from Paula Sherriff (Labour, Dewsbury) in a Parliamentary debate on regional expenditure.
