Wonderful St Pancras
Thank you very much for the excellent section on St Pancras station ( RAIL 844). Whenever I am in London, I often find time to wander around this wonderful place and find it amazing that “British Railways’ were once determined to destroy it!
In the last quarter of a century we have seen some wonderful acts of renaissance of some of our station buildings with King’s Cross, Marylebone and Moor Street, Birmingham, to name but a few.
As Barry Doe would no doubt tell us … ‘British Railways would never have tolerated that!’ Martin Leech, West Midlands
