Compensation tops £1 million

-

More than £1 million in compensation has been paid to Northern and TransPennine Express passengers following last May’s timetable chaos.

Rail Minister Andrew Jones revealed in a Commons Written Reply to Kate Hollern (Labour, Blackburn) on January 23 that more than 14,000 claims from season ticket holders and regular travellers had been made.

Jones added that Northern has introduced Delay Repay 15, entitling passengers delayed 15-29 minutes to compensation of 25% of the single fare.
