Construction work to reopen the Grade 2- listed wrought iron Bennerley Viaduct as a public walkway was due to start in early March, and be completed by the end of the year.

Gipsy Hill: A 10ft- long British Railways green enamel running- in board, removed in 1982, may be returned to the platform where it stood for three decades. Train operator Southern says it will pay for its re- erection after the station’s friends group purchased it from a collector in Devon.
