ORR chief warns on funding

-

Office of Rail and Road Chief Executive John Larkinson told the Railway Industry Association annual conference that unless the railway can convince the Treasury that it can sort out some of its problems, there won’t be any more money.

He called for there to be

“no stone left unturned” in how to deliver projects better, and suggested there could be better ways for organisations to interact.

Network Rail Eastern Route Managing Director Rob McIntosh was among the delegates asked whether the ‘build back better’ initiative will change anything in a year’s time. “We wouldn’t be here if we didn’t believe it could,” he replied.
