£29m funding for Stoke and Longton

Stoke-on-Trent and Longton stations are to benefit from £29 million of Transforming Cities funding.

At Stoke, a new transport hub will offer better access to taxis, buses and cycling, in addition to improving walking routes to and from the station.

At Longton, lifts and new waiting shelters will be installed, as well as better cycling facilities.

The remainder of the funding will be used to upgrade Stoke’s bus station to accommodate new bus links, and on walking and cycling routes in the area.
