‘Trambassadors’ to aid passengers
Manchester Metrolink has introduced dedicated staff to help people travel safely on its network.
Its ‘trambassadors’ will speak to passengers about the latest guidance and safety measures, hand out free face coverings and hand sanitisers, and encourage off-peak travel and contactless payment.
Metrolink is also increasing the time spent cleaning its trams and stops by 500 hours per week, in anticipation of additional passengers returning to public transport.
