SWR Class 701s sent to Worksop

Bombardier Class 701s are being stored at Worksop Yard ahead of their delivery to South Western Railway.

Three ten-car electric multiple units have so far been delivered, with 701002 arriving from Eastleigh (where it had been undergoing testing but has no interior fittings) on November

10, followed by 701019 from Derby Litchurch Lane the following day. Already at Worksop was 701017.

Meanwhile, 701013 is the latest delivery to Eastleigh for testing and commissioning before entering traffic with

South Western Railway.

Although they have received approval from Office of Rail and Road to carry passengers, none have yet done so.
