SUMAS COMPLETE STUNNING COMEBACK, MOLES CONTINUE REVIVAL

BRACKNELL TOWN put three more points on the board with a home success against title chasing Salisbury.

The Robins went a goal to the good when Joe Grant hit the opener before the visitors got back on terms after half-time.

Bracknell bagged the winner with just five minutes left on the clock when Anthony Cheshire leapt highest to head past the keeper.

The win puts Bracknell in seventh on

42 points from 29 games, just four points outside the play-off places.

Isthmian South Central

BNIFIELD continued their improved form to further boost their survival hopes with a thumping 4-1 away win at Hartley Wintney.

The Moles flew into a four goal lead before the hour mark with a Dontaye Whittaker brace and goals from Ethan Lindo and Jack Matton.

Despite a goal from former Binfield player Conor Lynch to make it 4-1, the Moles held on to pick up three more points.

The win puts Binfield level on points with Corinthain Casuals with two games in hand and eight points adrift of safety.

ASCOT UNITED added a point on the road with a draw against Hanworth Villa.

Having gone two goals down, the Yellas hit back with a goal from Taylor Morgan and an 86th minute leveller from Harry Lafflin to claim a point.

Combined Counties Premier North

WOKINGHAM & EMMBROOK eased their relegation fears with a superb comeback on the road to defeat Chalfont St Peter.

The Sumas found themselves two goals down at the break, but the game took a turn in the 49th minute when Chalfont were reduced to 10 players.

Wokingham used their one player advantage to get themselves back in the contest when Michael O’Connor scored to make it 2-1 with 25 minutes still left to play.

O’Connor was on the scoresheet again to level things up with a little over 10 minutes to play when he capitalise­d on a spill from the keeper.

The Sumas’ stunning second-half comeback was complete just a few minutes later when James Clark picked out the top corner to seal a 3-2 win.

Sumas are one point ahead of the two teams below them in the table.

READING CITY had to settle for a point against Bedfont Sports after they conceded a 94th minute goal to see the game end 2-2.

Combined Counties Division One

BERKS COUNTY kept their spot in second after picking up their 19th win in 26 league matches with a 3-1 victory over Amersham Town.

FINCHAMPST­EAD’s title charge hit a bump after they were held to a goalless draw by Henley Town.

The result leaves Finch in second place on 29 points, two points behind leaders Westwood Wanderers with a game in hand to play.

READING YMCA picked up their first win of the calendar year with a successful away trip to Slough Heating Laurencian­s.

A double from Wiliam Staniford either side of a goal from Daniel Nicholson helped YMCA to a 3-0 win.
