Man charged in murder case, after Reading cyclist dies from injuries
A HOMELESS man appeared in court yesterday after being charged with murder.
Shazeb Khalid was one of eight people arrested following an incident in Addington Road in Reading at 11.50pm on Wednesday, February 14.
On Tuesday, Thames Valley Police said the 24-year-old had been charged with the death of cyclists 36-year-old Vignesh Raman, who died at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The road was closed until Sunday, to allow forensic police to investigate.
On Monday, they revealed Khalid has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
He appeared at Reading Magistrates Court yesterday.
Seven other men, aged 20, 21, 24, 27, 31, 41 and 48, all from Reading, were also arrested, on suspicion of assisting an offender.
These men released on bail.

“We are continuing our investigation into the circumstances of his death, and arrests have now been made
