ACCESS Self Storage has launched its annual Easter Egg campaign, with the aim of completely filling a storage unit with donations from locals.
To fill the container the team will need to collect around
200 boxed supermarket Easter eggs.
With any extras spilling over into a larger unit.
Thousands of Easter eggs have been donated by stores, communities and customers since the collections began in 2011.
This year, 54 Access Self Storage stores around the country will be collecting.
Oliver Majcen, store manager at Access Self Storage in Reading, said: “Everyone deserves a treat this Easter and we’d love to fill our storage unit with Easter Eggs.
“We want to be able to collect as many eggs as possible, and to distribute them to those in need, and be helped by our chosen charity this year.”
Jan Albert Fourie, general manager of operations at Access Self Storage, added: “It’s so important for our store teams to work closely with their local communities and to be able to help those that will really benefit from this collection.
“Our aim is to fill our storage units over and over while this campaign remains open, and if we can collect 12,000 Easter Eggs this year, we know the teams and our charity partners will be so grateful.
Staff have already begun collecting eggs, and donations can be made at the store until March 25, ahead of the charity collection and distribution in time for Easter.
Kamaljit Kundhi, president of Reading Lions Club, said: “We are delighted to be working with Access Storage Reading on its Easter egg appeal this year.
“It fits perfectly with our principal Club objective which has always been to help those less fortunate than ourselves. Let’s get the container full and bring a little joy to those in need in our local community.”
