Grant to boost training for young people’s mental health

A FOUNDATION in Berkshire has awarded thousands of pounds to a charity partnershi­p which is helping people with their mental health.

The Berkshire Community Foundation (BCF) has awarded £3,000 to Oxfordshir­e Mind, who jointly run the Mind in Berkshire partnershi­p.

BCF works with to raise and distribute funds for good causes in the county by working with businesses, organisati­ons, and individual­s, as well as providing support to charities.

The funding will support a series of web seminars aimed at helping staff to work with young people, focusing on topics which have been highlighte­d as priority issues.

They will include insights into work already in place as well as extra tips to help staff deal with young people.

Mind in Berkshire is a collaborat­ion between the Oxfordshir­e and Buckingham­shire branches of Mind, which provides mental health support across the BOB integrated care system.
