THIS MONTH we’ve been reading THE RACKETEER by John Grisham (a well-polished prison break); HOW TO BETRAY YOUR COUNTRY by James Wolff (simply brilliant modern spy story, better even than Mick Herron); ROGUE PROTOCOL, EXIT STRATEGY, NETWORK EFFECT, FUGITIVE TELEMETRY, all by Martha Wells, and all featuring the gloriously entertaining Murderbot. Great sci-fi, this.

MEANWHILE AT THE MOVIES… FW didn’t much enjoy the new DOCTOR STRANGE film but RH loved it; if you’ve Netflix available then we totally recommend COWBOY BEPOP and ANOTHER LIFE for two very different takes on serial sci-fi; and we’re struggling through S2 of PICARD, more through a sense of duty than anything else. How could a series with Jean-luc, Seven, and the Borg Queen possibly be so desperately dull?
