Rosie Huntington-whiteley shares her poolside style secrets
What input did you have in the collection, and what inspired you?
I have been involved from mood boards to the final edit. My vision was modern, grown-up glamour: I wanted to create swimwear for real women who are looking for chic, flattering shapes to provide poolside confidence.
What’s the key to bikini confidence?
Great fit – so take your time finding the right one. Last-minute holiday shopping can be stressful, and often results in panic buys, so allow yourself enough time to try a variety of styles until you find the one that will make you feel fabulous. One good tip is to look at your lingerie drawer and go for shapes that resemble your favourite, most flattering underwear.
‘Swimwear in the city’ was all over the catwalks – can you really wear it in real life?
The versatility of the collection really allows you to embrace the trend. Try teaming a statement one-piece with a pair of denim cut-offs or skinny jeans, then layering it with a maxi printed kimono.
The easiest way to look effortless this summer?
No make-up, hair in a top knot and a fresh coconut in hand.
What’s your favourite holiday destination?
Thailand’s one of my happy places – I love island-hopping to places like Koh Phi Phi. The people are so friendly, the food is delicious and the beaches are like paradise.
What are your beach essentials?
Travel-sized SPF lotion, a floppy hat, big sunnies and a beautiful kaftan to take you from beach to bar. And I can’t get enough of Frank Ocean’s latest album,
Blonde – so that will be in my summer itunes library.
