YOUR HOLIDAY TAN-TABLE
BEFORE YOU GO: “Using a salt scrub two or three times a week for a couple of weeks before your holiday will lift dead cells and boost circulation,” says St Tropez ambassador and top make-up artist Emma Kotch. “Then, a week before, apply a sheer layer of gradual tan every other day for a subtle, streak-free glow” – try St Tropez Gradual Tan Plus as it’s “nourishing and light”.
THE NIGHT BEFORE: Cleanse and exfoliate your face, then relax for five minutes with new St Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Face Sheet Mask. “It’ll give skin a hydrated glow – the perfect antidote to travelling, which dries skin out and makes it lose its vibrancy and tone,” Kotch says. “Once you’ve removed the mask, run the excess product over your neck, shoulders and décolleté.”
IN THE SUN: Avoid disrupting your new colour by steering clear of oil-based SPFS, as “they can break down self tan”, says Kotch. “Use a lotion instead. After a swim, try to dab rather than rub yourself dry.”
SHOWER HOUR: To hydrate and enhance your colour while away, “use a gradual tan as an after-sun”, suggests Kotch. It’s also a good way of softening strap marks. If you want to hide those lines, use a little self-tan mousse and buff it in using the sponge side of a mitt, she suggests.
