SAY IT, WRITE IT, SHARE IT

Here at Red, we love welcoming new readers into the family. But this month, we wanted to give a shoutout to some of our brilliant long-term readers who got in touch to express their affections.

Laura Wallis wrote, ‘I’ve been an avid reader of Red magazine for many years now and identify very much as a Red reader! I have always been particularly interested in the magazine’s engagement with combining a career with being a mum, particularly to young children. Through Red, I’ve had access to women with similar interests and aspirations to myself and have felt supported and inspired by the Red community.

‘I wanted to write to say that

Red has had a strong and positive impact on me through my twenties and thirties as I have married, had two children and developed my own career. I’ve felt reassured by the perfectly imperfect messages Red conveys, while also feeling inspired by the successful women who appear in the magazine. Red has fuelled me and, at times, kept me motivated to keep on keeping on. Holding on to the vision of what I want as a 30-something woman (to be as good a mum as I can be, have a happy marriage and be successful at work while also trying to keep friendships going, stay afloat and carve out some space just for me) has been important to me and you have helped me to do that. I think that letting other women know just how much they have helped other women along the way really matters.’

Joanna Montes also got in touch. She wrote, ‘Thank you for being such a dear friend. I discovered you when I was in my early twenties (I’m now 37) and have hardly missed an issue since.

‘I find it such a comfort having you posted through my door each month. I love the positivity and inspiration you give and hope it never ends. I love everything from the contributor snippets right at the start to the cover stars, fashion and beauty advice and great writing. Thanks again for being there.’

And thank YOU for coming along with us!
