A MOMENT IN THYME

-

New ceramics from the Cotswolds hotel

We’ve long been fans of the scenic Thyme in the Cotswolds, so we were excited to hear Red-alum-turned-ceramicist Deborah Brett has collaborated with the hotel on a collection – inspired by the botanical table linens designed by Caryn Hibbert, Thyme’s founder and creative director. Brett’s free-form bowls, platters and porcelain serviette rings are hand painted with ‘stem’ stripes and finished with a 24ct gold trim. The collection has been a labour of love for Brett, who created most of the pieces from her own home, as her pottery studio was closed due to lockdown, but she believes the joy they will spark has made it all worthwhile. Says Brett, ‘I tended to my ceramics – often late at night, checking on them and making sure they were drying well. That they were happy. And the love and the tenderness that I’ve put into making them, I hope that energy and joy is passed on to people who use them and enjoy them every day.’ From £28, take-a-little-thyme.myshopify.com.
