2 PERIOD POWER

The tool: Wild Hearts Gang First Period

Box Hands up, who else has shoved a tampon up their sleeve and scurried away to the loo? Period shame is real and that’s why entrepreneur Anne Doherty has launched the Wild Hearts Gang gift box, a stylish and useful kit for girls who have just started their periods, and has also teamed up with Action For Children to donate sanitary products to disadvantaged girls.

As well as information leaflets and branded sanitary products, the boxes contain Uk-made goodies, including a heat bag to soothe cramps, an artisan chocolate bar and a bath bomb to give comfort at what can be an emotional and stressful time.

‘It’s a huge deal when you start your first period,’ says Doherty. ‘I want these boxes to help make girls feel good about themselves as well as being a really lovely way for parents to talk to their daughters openly about it.’ wildheartsgang.com
