Almost two years after the last season, Jed Mercurio’s highly acclaimed police drama is back and there are plenty more twists and turns in store. Kelly Macdonald joins the series as guest lead playing DCI Joanne Davidson, whose unusual conduct raises a few eyebrows in the unit. Mercurio said she’s ‘the most enigmatic adversary AC-12 has ever faced’ – so watch this space! Of course, the series wouldn’t be complete without DI Kate Fleming (Vicky Mcclure) and DS Steve Arnott (Martin Compston), who are also joined by newcomers Andi Osho (Kiri) and Prasanna Puwanaraja­h (Doctor Foster).
