TV MARE OF EASTTOWN
Academy awardwinning Kate Winslet leads in this seven-part crime drama centred around community, family and past tragedies. She plays small-town Pennsylvania detective Mare Sheehan, who’s tasked with investigating a local murder while also trying to prevent her own hectic life from falling apart. She’s joined by a fantastic cast, including Evan Peters (American Horror Story) and Angourie Rice (Spider-man: Far From Home); Winslet was also intimacy co-ordinator during the filming, as well as helping to produce the series. On Sky Atlantic and Now TV from 19th April
TV ROMEO & JULIET
Theatre fans rejoice, as the National Theatre’s stage production of Romeo & Juliet is coming to the small screen. Originally planned to have been playing at the Olivier Theatre last summer, the romantic tragedy will be filmed at the Lyttelton Theatre and transformed into a made-for-screen production, starring The Crown’s Josh O’connor and Jessie Buckley as the star-crossed lovers. We’re sure we’ll ‘ne’er see true beauty ‘til this night...’ On Sky Arts from 4th April
FILM THINGS HEARD AND SEEN
Amanda Seyfried stars opposite James Norton in this chilling drama based on Elizabeth Brundage’s thrilling novel All Things Cease To Appear. They play couple Catherine and George, who move to an old dairy farm in the Hudson Valley with their three-year-old daughter. But Catherine soon discovers there’s a sinister darkness to her marriage, which is rivalled by their new home’s haunted past, and it’s only a matter of time before tragedy strikes once again. Dark and deceitful, with plenty of drama, you’ll definitely want to put this on your to-watch list. On Netflix from 30th April
