FILM THE BATMAN

With a star-studded cast, including Robert Pattinson as our superhero, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman and Paul Dano as the Riddler, this latest Batman film is, according to Pattinson, ‘surprising­ly different’ to earlier versions. Settle in for this three-hour caper, in which Batman uncovers corruption in Gotham City while also facing – yet again – that elusive serial killer the Riddler. In cinemas from 4th March

BRIDGERTON SEASON 2

The smash-hit period drama, based on Julia Quinn’s bestsellin­g novels, is back on our screens at last. This season will focus on the eldest of the Bridgerton children, Lord Anthony, played by Jonathan Bailey (also soon to be seen on stage in London – see right). Heralding the second season, Lady Whistledow­n teased: ‘I will have my pen ready to report on any and all of his romantic activities.’ Newcomers Simone Ashley (Sex Education) and Charithra Chandran join the cast as sisters. ART AUDUBON’S BIRDS OF AMERICA

Published between 1827 and 1838, Birds Of America is a 1m tall book featuring 435 life-sized colour prints of birds in North America, including at least five that are now extinct. Now’s your chance to see them in all their glory in this new exhibition. At the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh until 8th May.
