I GENERALLY REGARD any spray/soak/ rinse-off cleaner as a pre-wash: something to shift some muck so the sponge has an easier time and does its job better. But I have to say this Extreme Bike Clean impressed me. Sprayed on and left for five minutes, it cut through a week’s worth of winter road-grime in a way that nearly convinced me to give the sponge a week off - though not quite. But in summer, I might. At a fiver a litre, it’s good value too. SW
