Waxed cotton jackets have been a mainstay of motorcycling for decades and remain valid today for their warmth, looks and excellent waterproof properties.

ARMOUR

Although they look like casual clothing, today’s waxed cotton jackets hide a multitude of features including (in most cases) Ce-approved armour in the shoulders and elbows.

NOT FOR EVERYONE

These jackets are not for every kind of bike. You wouldn’t want to ride a sports bike in one, for example, but for cruisers, café racers, trail bikes and retro machines they’re ideal.

WATERPROOFING

Waxed cotton is extremely good at keeping water out which is why these jackets became popular with motorcyclists as far back as the 1950s.
