JACKETS

The last word in function, practicality, protection and style

-

PRICE

There’s no denying that high-end jackets are expensive but if they’re the only one you’re going to need for all-year riding then you can probably afford to spend a bit more on it.

POCKETS

Even on the best textile jackets, not all pockets are designed to be waterproof so make sure you put things like mobile phones and cash in the designated waterproof pockets which are usually inside the jacket.

VERSATILITY

Unless you’re planning on doing some track days, a textile jacket and/or suit is suitable for pretty much any other kind of motorcycling, from short commutes to round-the-world tours and adventure bike riding.

FUNCTION

It’s astonishing how technically complex the very best textile jackets are now. From the materials and armour used to the removable linings and membranes and the heaps of features built into them, nothing comes close in terms of functionality.

JUST BREATHE

Waterproof linings or membranes can be sweaty things if they’re not made from the right materials. Make sure the lining in any jacket you’re considering is breathable or you’ll soon regret buying it.
