SUITS
Staying warm and dry doesn’t have to mean breaking the bank
SEAL YOUR NECK
Even a 100 per cent waterproof suit won’t keep you dry if you don’t address the most vulnerable area for leaks – your neck. Adjust your collar so it’s tight but not choking you and wear a waterproof neck tube OUTSIDE your collar so the rain runs down it and away instead of down your neck and into the suit.
VALUE FOR MONEY
All-weather touring suits are very complex garments and that’s often reflected in very high price tags but that’s not always the case. There are some very reasonablypriced suits on the market that do the same job for a lot less dollar so if you’re on a budget try some of the lesser-known brands.
SUIT FOR ALL
Touring suits are so adaptable that you really can use them all year round with no need for any other riding kit. Removable thermal linings, removable waterproof linings, and heaps of zipped vents mean you can easily adapt to different conditions. And if one riding suit is all you’re going to need, suddenly the price of textile touring suits starts to look like a a bargain.
TAILOR MADE
Textile suits now offer so many adjustment options that it almost feels like wearing a tailored suit. Many now offer adjustability at the collar, cuffs, waist and arms so you can really achieve a snug, flap-free and watertight fit.
