How to get there: You could follow the A149 round the coast, but we’d go to Swafham on the A47, then take the A1065 to Fakenham and the B1105 to Wells. How long for: A weekend is ideal. When to go: Avoid the school holidays and bank holiday weekends. How much: Unless you’re camping, it’s not a budget destination: expect to pay upwards of £100 a night for a B&B.
