The growing Rninet family

-

The other new member of BMW’S Rninet gang is the Pure, the entry-level model of the range. This has the same engine and mostly the same chassis as the Racer, but no fairing, a one-piece handlebar instead of clip-ons, footrests further forward, and a dual-seat instead of the solo-plushump. It’s nippy, light, fun and at £9990 a decent bike in its own right or as the basis for a custom.

Last year’s dual-purpose-styled Rninet Scrambler will soon be joined by the Rninet Urban G/S, featuring similar cycle parts and differing with its headlamp surround and Dakar Rally-inspired white paintwork and orange seat. It’s due in summer at the same price of £10,550. Meanwhile the original Rninet, which briefly gained the suffix Roadster, is still available and justifies its £12,200 price with higher-spec cycle parts and some neat details.
