Under the seat

The seat removes in two pieces, with the passenger section coming away first. The seat is unlocked via the bike’s ignition key and the locking mechanism is under the right-hand side of the seat. The rider’s part of the seat removes by unscrewing a bolt on either side using the 4mm Allan key from the bike’s tool roll stowed under the pillion pad. The removal of the main seat is mainly to give access for service. Meanwhile, as well as storing the tool kit, the passenger seat probably has enough room beneath it to store a tubeless tyre repair kit.
