RIDING A BIKE is something blokes who’ve been doing it for a long time take for granted. “Just do it – you’ll love it,” we’ll say to anyone who expresses an interest in starting. “It’s easy,” we say, optimistically. Because the truth is, sometimes it seems hard to know where to start.

That’s where this New Rider magazine comes in. If you’re not sure what’s involved in getting a licence, turn the page to find the right route to your life on two wheels. Of course, passing the test is just part of the process. As well as getting a licence you need to get a bike and get kitted out – but we have advice to help with that as well. Whatever you need to start riding, it’s in here. So go on: just do it – you will love it.
