Rude awakening

Last week, I crashed into the back of a car at a roundabout. It was my fault and I escaped with just bruises. My

bike is damaged but repairable. It is my first crash in 20 years of riding. I still love bikes and will carry on riding, but even low-speed crashes hurt. It has been a wake-up call to me because after 20 years, I thought crashes happened to other, less careful riders. I was glad I had my full leathers and boots on. Paul Garrard
