Spanish fly-riders

Me, my dad and a mate called Bob just came back from a three-night/two-day organised off-road trip with Red Tread in Nerja, about 40 minute drive from Malaga in southern Spain. The team kitted us out with good gear – you don’t need to take anything as they cover you from head to toe – before putting us on some of their fleet of immaculate Yamaha WR250S.

The riding on the trails in the hills beyond Nerja was great. We were part of a group of ten riders that ranged from a guy with a provisional licence who rode a 125 to my 79-year-old dad.

It was a complete laugh: we had the best of Spanish weather, good bikes, great kit, bikers for company, tasty cheap food, cold beer, and a pool. Stan Shires
