That original series of Great Rides was the start of RIDE offering more touring content. They were collections of individual roads, with basic line-drawn maps. Now we’re offering downloadable routes for sat navs, suggesting detailed daytrips and multi-day tours. And the bikes have changed – the BMW GS Adventure is now liquid-cooled, though recent projects (including this year’s Guide to France) have been on Triumphs. What hasn’t is how we do it: we start with recommendations from readers and local riders and check them out to make sure they work.
