The Bikes
There’s a choice of machinery – for the Ténéré Experience, there is the parallel twin XT1200Z Super Ténéré or the single-cylinder XT660 Ténéré (including specially-lowered versions for shorter riders). There are also some WR250RS for those on a 33bhp licence or fancying something lightweight.
The Super Ténérés are fairly stock, with Barkbusters handguards and Yamaha sump guards and crash bars. The most useful mod is tyres: the school is sponsored by Dunlop and there are proper (but still road-legal) dirt tyres all round.
