Off-road in Scotland

I liked your piece on getting into trail riding (The Great Escape, July). There was just one problem: all the schools you recommend are a long way from Scotland. However, for those who are lucky enough to be my countrymen and aren’t sure how to get started in the whole off-road business, there is most definitely help at hand.
