Triumph Tiger 800 XCX
This third-generation Tiger 800 follows in the pawprints of the original (2011-2014) and the ride-by-wire update (2015-2017). The core engine and frame haven’t changed much but electronics and sophistication have improved. Today there are six Tiger 800s: four roadfocused XRS and two more dirt-minded XCS. This, the XCX, includes cruise control, a TFT dash, 12V DIN power socket, adjustable WP suspension but no centrestand. The Matt Khaki Green paint on our bike is an extra £150.
If you want more, there’s a higher-spec XCA (£12,450) which adds all-led lighting, backlit switchgear, centrestand, heated grips and seats, spotlights, an extra riding mode and an aluminium radiator guard.
