Q Will the wings work on Sunday blasts?

-

If your Sunday blast involves doing 160mph along Donington’s back straight, then yes. The downforce generated by the stacked wings, which Honda says are as effective as those fitted to Marquez’s racer, keeps the Blade stable at high speed, pinning the front to the tarmac. The wings are faired-in for less drag turning from side to side, while lips, slots and cut-outs in the bodywork all help the Blade carve through the air. Honda test riders reckon it all makes a difference, even riding from the pits to their Japanese test track but at road speeds, the aero effect is negligible.
