Q How easy is it to work on?
Despite its performance and HRC specialness, the Blade’s inline fourcylinder motor is quite conventional. Oil and filter changes won’t be a problem for home mechanics but dealer servicing will keep up with software updates, essential for its electronics and help retain its value when it’s time to sell it. Brake pads are easy to change once you’ve undone the two bolts to remove the calipers. The battery is easily accessible under the rider’s seat, secured with two bolts and adjusting the chain is straightforward, though you’ll have to use your own tools — all you get in the tool pouch, located under the pillion seat, is two solitary Allen keys.
