Where you’ve been and why

Spain

I’ve just come back from a fantastic trip through Spain with my friend and best mate, Buddy the spaniel. We took the ferry from Portsmouth to Santander and then rode on my GS through the Picos and across to Portugal before riding down to the Costa del Sol and then up to Ruidera, Caspe and Jaca and on through France to the Eurotunnel. The roads were absolutely fantastic and whether you wanted straights, sweeping or mountain passes, it had it all. I thoroughly recommend this route, especially if you're travelling with your four-legged best mate.

Derwent Dam, Peak District

This is the Non-hairy Bikers at the Derwent Dam on probably the wettest day of the year. We travelled from Essex to enjoy four nights in the Peak District. The scenery was beautiful and the roads great but the weather, less so. The dog didn't belong to us but was happy to pose... Alan Henderson

Snettisham Beach, Norfolk

I love seeing pictures of other riders out enjoying their bikes in Your Rides and so I thought I would share one of me and my CB500X on Snettisham Beach, Norfolk during a pre-lockdown 2 run-out. Stewart Taylor

Flamborough, Yorkshire

My first ride out on my new BMW S1000XR, overlooking the cliffs at Flamborough. Dave Nicks

Megget Reservoir, Borders

How's this for a backdrop for a socially-distanced lunch break? Here is my mate Martyn with our wives Karen and Maureen in the Scottish Borders enjoying a packed lunch provided by the Buccleuch Arms Hotel in Moffat. The scenery was so good I forgot to get both bikes in the photo; a Ducati Multistrada is just off camera. Don Narramore

Glen Etive, Highlands

I took my first-ever motorcycle camping trip to Glen Etive the other day on my Honda CB500F. It was a brilliant experience and the bike handled everything thrown at it. This will definitely be the first of many trips away. Andrew Hill

Crianlarich, Perthshire

I’ve recently bought myself a brand new Royal Enfield Interceptor and so took an afternoon off to get a bit closer to its first service. Here's a picture of my new ride just outside Crianlarich, about to carry on my blast down the A85/A84 stretch to Stirling; a lap I frequently use as a weekend run to get away. Reece Gayler

Loch Tulla

My brother and I cleared our heads by riding to the Highlands and enjoying breathtaking scenery at Loch Tulla — the best medicine ever. Roy Willighan

Dinton, Wiltshire

A beautiful coffee stop in a little village called Dinton on a recent trip up to the pretty town of Stratford-upon-avon where my wife (Sandra) and I recently spent a few days exploring the roads around the area. If you haven’t tried the Fosse Way, I highly recommend it; it’s a fantastic biking road. Dave and Sandra Silsbury

Mallaig, Highlands

Here is a shot from the last ride of the year, a 400-mile round trip from Aberdeen to Mallaig as a final goodbye to Matt (second from right with the big, daft smile) as he is moving back to Oz. We will miss him but at least we won’t have to wait for him any more... Simon Smith
