A2-friendly Tiger 850
Triumph has scrapped the base model Tiger 900 in favour of the Tiger 850 Sport. Packing 84bhp, it’s a detuned Tiger 900 that’s now at a low-enough power to be restricted and become A2-licence-compliant. Designed for road-focussed touring, it has some nice features like long service intervals and a TFT display, though Triumph has removed some of the functionality from the dash, so there’s no mapping for instance — a bit disappointing as the new £7k Trident 660 has what’s missing. Price is £9300.
