FUEL AND MONEY EASILY PARTED
One of the things that winds me up on the Tracer — and there aren't many — is the apparent pessimism of the fuel gauge. When it hits the last bar and, heaven forbid, start flashing, I head straight for the nearest garage. The quoted fuel capacity is 17 litres yet with the final bar flashing away at me, I’ve only ever once been able to get more than 13 litres in, even with the bike on its centrestand and absolutely brimming the tank. If my maths is right, then there should be around 55 miles left in the tank — unless, of course, the capacity either isn't actually 17 litres or there is an unfeasibly large pump and air gap in there.
