‘The GS can do everything’

-

Neil Frazer, BMW R1200 GS Rallye TS “My GS has just over 10,000 miles on it now, a mixture of touring and Sunday rides, plus during lockdown I’ve been delivering PPE around the place to people who need it.

“In terms of mods, it comes with the bash plate, engine bars, fogs and rad guards. I’ve added a Denali Soundbomb Mini instead of the weedy OE horn, added a generic Perspex headlamp guard — being LED, you don’t want to be breaking a headlight — and changed the screen to a Givi tall item; it’s wider and taller and I could never get quite the right height on the stock screen. This one is perfect. I also added Givi extensions to the hand guards — they’re really effective and make a difference. Cymarc bar-end weights make a difference, taking vibes out of the bars.

“If I could only have one bike ever again, it’d be this one. It can do everything. It’s fun on a blast out, then you can stick panniers on it and ride across Europe.”
