Three ways to improve it

1 Crash protection

Crash bars or cam-cover protectors are a must if your GS hasn’t got them — stickyout cylinders are vulnerable in a crash and the bars give you somewhere to rest your legs/ bolt cameras to.

2 Headlight protector

BMW lights are expensive so a headlamp protector is worthwhile, even just to avoid chipping; Perspex gives complete protection (including flies) but can scratch and degrade, while a metal grill only protects from bigger stones.

3 Accessories

Many people fit taller or wider screens, though the standard one is pretty good. There are numerous options for luggage, but a Wunderlich handlebars bag is insanely useful for longer trips.
