CHANGE YOUR FUEL LINES

-

1 Remove the tank

We drained and removed the tank on our 1995 Suzuki RF600R, by running a length of pipe from the outlet of the fuel cock to a fuel can. We then removed the mounting bolts and pulled the tank off so we could change the 25 year-old lines for more modern ones.

2 Change the fuel cock hoses

Once the tank was empty, we removed the two hoses from the bottom of the main and reserve pick-ups in the tank and cut new ones, using the old ones as templates. We used new hose clips but the old protective sheathes.

3 Change the main lines

We removed the line from the fuel cock to the fuel pump and replaced it. We also changed the pipe from the pump to the carb inlets and replaced the fuel filter, after removing the airbox. Job done, ready for modern ethanol-enriched fuels. TIME 2 HOURS ............................
