Endurance challenge reaches the final act

-

t is now 21 long days since this year's batch of famous faces entered the Australian jungle. Carol Vorderman, Adam Thomas, Joel Dommett, Ola Jordan and Jordan Banjo were the first to be introduced to the viewers. They had to choose a partner each from Lisa Snowdon, Sam Quek, Scarlett Moffatt, Wayne Bridge and Larry Lamb. The entire group was then split into two – the City Celebs and the Jungle Celebs – before going off their separate ways and eventually being reunited in camp. At first, the celebs all seemed to be getting on well - a little too well, for some viewers. Carol was overwhelmed: “Camp is a beautiful place.Your senses are just heightened," she explained. Meanwhile, Bridge's official Twitter account said: "Have you ever seen a group of contestants get on so well? Look like a proper family!" However, it wasn't long before Carol was filmed talking to a toad and Wayne had a good old cry about how much he was missing his wife and children. Almost three weeks have passed since those early days, and no doubt the lack of food and sleep has taken its toll on the celebrities' sanity. Tonight, Ant and Dec present the final of as the last remaining celebs complete their ordeal. As usual the presenters will be springing a few last-day surprises on the contestants, including, no doubt, the infamous annual eating challenge and other daily tasks. Last year, down-to-earth Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison (who is now one of the co-hosts on ITV2 companion programme I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp), was crowned Queen of the Jungle. The 28-year-old was proclaimed the winner after receiving the highest number of votes from the public, beating boy band pop singer George Shelley into second and TOWIE star Ferne McCann into third. But before sitting on the throne Vicky, George and Ferne were left with one last Bushtucker Trial, with the trio having to complete a section to earn the meal of their dreams. So what have the producers got lined up for the final three contestants tonight? And which of the final line-up will be raising a glass of bubbly after succeeding Pattison as King or Queen of the Jungle?
