A snow bear show

- Steve@aata.me

THE Curtain Theatre encompasses both our rich theatrical heritage and spirit of co-operation in Rochdale.

An amateur theatre established in 1925 by a group of friends and relatives, it is still going strong more than 90 years later, producing five interesting and unusual shows per year, with 12 performances per show.

The Curtain Theatre has no committees, just a business director and a drama director, nominated annually by the members.

There is no formal membership and no sale of tickets.

Instead, the audience are invited and asked to make a small donation. The Theatre relies totally on the donations that are made by the patrons.

On Sunday, December 18, children aged three to seven and their grown ups can experience this wonderful old theatre when The Blunderbus Theatre Company presents Lily and the Little Snow Bear. This is a great opportunity for little ones to experience real live theatre

This funny, heartwarming tale of friendship is the perfect treat for Christmas. With exquisite puppets, enchanting music and a magical snowy setting, this modern day fairy tale is ‘especially for little bears’ who hopefully will become the Curtain Theatre patrons, actors, directors and technicians of the future.
