Sensei leads honours list with 7th Dan

-

THE Rochdale-based Karate Centre gained more black belts recently with the Chief Instructor Sensei Irfan Ansari being in the honours also.

He received his 7th Dan for his long time dedication to the sports, being a national coach having produced many world champions and numerous black belts.

In fact he has been blessed to have produced 614 World Medallists since 2008 with 225 Gold Medals under his and his pupils’ belts.

Sensei Ansari has now decided to retire from competing himself as he simply does have the time to prepare to compete at the very top level anymore.

However, his dedication in helping others as the National Coach for the National Martial Arts Committee GB (NMACGB) and World Referee still spurs him on to share his vast knowledge and skills to the highest level.

Also successful in the recent Black Belt Grading were Richard Spencer (45yrs), David Elsworth (47yrs), Ethan Hulse (13yrs) and Elizabeth Wright (13yrs) who all performed excellently to pass their first black belt.

Sensei Ansari said: “They have all worked very hard to achieve the 1st Dan and I’m very pleased with the understanding and performance shown. I wish them all the success in the future and hope they stick at it for many years to learn and achieve even more.”

Sensei Ansari also offers classes in Middleton, Oldham and Bury area.
