Tasty treats on menu as vendors hit street

-

IF you’re looking for something to eat and drink and free entertainment, head down to the new Street Eat event outside the town hall on May 27 and 28.

Tasty food from the town’s restaurants will be served over the Bank Holiday weekend, with dozens of mouth-watering dishes at £3 each, including Spanish, Italian, English, German, American and more.

There will also be activities and rides for the children, a bar and live entertainment.

Mark Foxley from Rochdale Town Centre Management, who is organising the event with support from Rochdale council, said: “The vendors will be from Rochdale town centre eateries, which proves how much talent there is locally. The sights, sounds, the smells and, of course, the tastes will make for an unmissable two days on every foodie’s calendar.

“It’s family-friendly – you’ll be able to buy and try as many small dishes as you like, and enjoy them in a great atmosphere.”

Traders include La Mancha, Cocka Doodle Moo, The Clock Tower Dining Room, Vicolo de Vino, The Flying Horse Hotel, Java and more. Admission is free. For more information visit rochdale.gov.uk/ events or search #StreetEatRoch on Twitter.
