‘Keep eye on your children’ – police

POLICE have urged parents to keep track of what their children are doing after reports of a gang of youths causing problems in the town centre, Castleton and Sandbrook Park.

In a post on the GMP Facebook page on Monday officers wrote: “Do you know where your children are tonight?

“We have received a number of calls this evening regarding a group of youths causing issues in the Castleton, Sandbrook Park and town centre areas.

“We have officers on patrol who will be dealing with any youths who have been involved in the incidents.

“Parents, if your children are out this evening please make sure you know where they are and who they are with.

“If you are young person who is out this evening please do not take part in any anti-social activities however exciting it may seem at the time. what you may think is fun may land you with a criminal record.”
